Girls beat mad woman then post video on the internet - Pennsylvania

A group of teen girls severely beat a mentally disabled woman and then posted the video of the attack on the internet, according to reports.

The teen girls were charged with brutally attacking the woman with a mental disability in Pennsylvania and they were caught by police after posting the video of the beating on Facebook. A neighbor alerted police in Chester, Pennsylvania about the video on Thursday and police mobilized a network of officers to catch the six girls in the video.

Four girls, between the ages of 16 and 17, were arrested Friday and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, theft and harassment. Two other girls were later found and arrested. The assault occurred on Tuesday night. The pack of girls, at the age of 16, had approached a woman sitting on the stairs of her home in Chester and started hitting and beating her with a shoe and also a chair as weapons. "I'm going to f*** that b**** up a girl announces.” The attack was caught on a surveillance camera at a nearby store.

The victim, a 48-year-old with mental problems, tried to escape from her home, but the girls continued the beating. A young girl recorded the attack on a handheld device. "They beat the bejesus out of her," Detective JamesNolan said. "But the attack was more degrading than physically harmful."

The obscenity-laced video was posted on Facebook, in an effort to boast about the attack, police said. "It's the fastest way for people to know what they did," said Nolan. The victim, who was not identified, did not report to the police, but did seek medical treatment.
